The new organotris(phosphino)silanes RSi(PH 2 ) 3  (R = Me (1), Et (2), i-Pr (3), Ph (4)) have been synthesized by reaction of the appropriate chlorosilanes RSiCl 3  with LiAl(PH 2 ) 4  in the molar ratio 1:0,75. With an excess of RSiCl 3  the mixed chlorophosphinosilanes RSi(PH 2 )Cl 2  and RSi(PH 2 ) 2 Cl have also been obtained, the  31 P NMR data of which are reported. The compounds 1-4 could be isolated in pure form and have been fully characterized by elemental analyses and various spectroscopic methods
