Preparation and crystal structures of the two title compounds are reported. Both of them can be obtained by reaction of K 2 S 5  , sulfur and (crypt-2.2.2) in ethylenediamine (en). [K(crypt-2.2.2)] 2 S 7  · en is monoclinic, S. G. P2 1 /c, with a = 14.347(5) Å, b = 13.148(5) Å, c = 29.42(2) Å, β = 92.84(3)°. [K(crypt-2.2.2)] 2 S 6  is monoclinic, S. G. P2 1 /c, with a = 30.23(2) Å, b = 8.513(5) Å, c = 22.37(2) Å, β = 116.16(2)°.
