New ternary compounds of the formula A 2 BX 2  in the orthorhombical K 2 PdP 2 -structure, space group Cmcm, have been prepared from the elements potassium, rubidium (A -element), nickel, palladium, platinum (B -element) and phosphorus or arsenic (X -element). They are isotypic with K 2 PdAs 2 , K 2 PdP 2  and K 2 PtAs2 and are characterized by BX 2 -zig-zag-ribbons surrounded by channel-like arranged alkali atoms.
