S 4 N 3 Cl reacts with sulfonic acids and imido- bissulfonyl derivatives under HCl-evolution to the following compounds: S 4 N 3 SO 3 CF 3 , S 4 N 3 N (SO 2 F) 2 , S 4 NSO 3 CH 3 HSO 3 CH 3 , S 4 N 3 N (SO 2 CF 3 ) SO 2 Cl and S 4 N 3 N (SO 2 CF 3 ) SO 2 F, They are yellow solids which decompose when heated below the melting point. The compounds are formed in nearly quantitative yield and have been characterized by elemental analysis, nmr and electronic spectra.
