Spektroskopische Untersuchungen in den Systemen (Me 0,5 - x/2 U 0,5 - x/2 Th x ) O 2  mit Me = Nd, Gd, Dy, Ho, Yb und Y zeigen, daß die Termaufspaltung des Urans nicht mit dem Vorliegen einer würfelförmigen Sauerstoffkoordination in Einklang zu bringen ist.
