The complexation of beryllium (II) with 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid in aqueous 0.1 ᴍ KNO 3  medium has been investigated potentiometrically, which evince the formation of 1 : 1 and 1 : 2 complexes, predominating in the pH ranges 2.7 —4 and 4—9, respectively. The values of log K 1  and log K 2 , determined by alternative methods, have been found to be 7.13 and 5.29 respectively. The value of overall change in free energy (ΔF) accompanying the reaction has been found to be —17.34 Kcal/mole at 35°C.
