Durch Verwendung von Guanin-(8- 14 C) konnte bewiesen werden, daß L. leichmannii 313 Guanin in Adenin verwandelt. Umgekehrt wird Adenin-( 14 C) nicht in Guanin übergeführt. Ferner wurde die Wirkung von nichtradioaktivem Adenin, Xanthin und Hypoxanthin auf die Umwandlungsrate von Guanin in Adenin untersucht.
