The nonlinear propagation of ion-acoustic (IA) electrostatic solitary waves (SWs) is investigated in a magnetized electron-ion plasma in the presence of pressure anisotropy. The energy integral equation is derived by employing the Sagdeev approach. The current approach only allows for positive potential nonlinear structures. The effect of relevant plasma parameters on the characteristics of SW structures is investigated. The current study may be significant in space and astrophysical plasma systems.
