The Barkhausen spectra, i. e. the pulse height distribution of pulses induced in a coil by spontaneous magnetization changes, have been measured for two Fe samples. Particular emphasis was given to the effect of the instrumental time constant compared to the Barkhausen time constant and to a low instrumental cut-off (3.5 x 10 -8  magnetic cgs units). No maximum was found in the Barkhausen spectra.
