The magnetic properties of Er x Y 1-x Al 2  have been studied by neutron diffraction measurements. The compounds exhibit ferromagnetic ordering for x &gt; 0.3 with a linear dependence of the Curie temperature on x. ErAl 2  orders at 12.5 °K.
