Simultaneous analysis of e/m, the kinetic energies of the fragment ions, and their appearance potentials were made in order to separate dissoziative ionization processes according to the electronic states of the fragments. The energy dependencies of absolute total cross sections have been determined for three different processes leading to the formation of both energetic N +  and O + -ions from N 2  resp. O 2 .
