Homogeneous rotational perturbations (Δ Λ = 0) were found in the DESLANDRES-D’AZAMBUJA bands (c 1 Π g  — b 1 Π u ) for v′ ≧ 3. The rotational analysis showed that the c 1 Π g  state is perturbed by an hitherto unknown c′ 1 Π g  state. Vibrational levels of the c′ 1 Π g  state were determined from ν = 0 up to ν = 5. Furthermore some additional vibrational levels of the c 1 Π g  state could be identified up to ν = 8.
