Siric a perwit wird zögernd als ,Seide und Gewürz‘ aufgefaßt; den genauen botanischen Sinn von afallen peren kann man jedoch nicht sicher bestimmen. - Ob das Adjektiv pêr von dem Baumnamen abzuleiten ist, bleibt zweifelhaft.
