NOx removal process based on the combination of pulsed discharge plasma and catalyst was investigated in this study. Five types of catalyst pellets (γAl 2 O 3 , Ag/Al 2 O 3 , TiO 2 , Ag/TiO 2  and Pt/Al 2 O 3 ) were packed in plasma reactors for PDC (plasma driven catalyst) system using simulated exhaust gas with C 2 H 4  as additive at 423 K. Around 63% of NOx removal rates were obtained when both Pt and TiO 2  catalyst pellets were used. Ag/Al 2 O 3  and Ag/TiO 2  catalyst pellets were prepared by conventional impregnation and plasma-assisted impregnation method. The NOx removal rate with the Ag catalysts prepared by the pulsed plasma-assisted impregnation was higher than that with the other catalyst prepared by conventional impregnation. From E-SEM observation and X-ray micro-analysis, distribution of Ag on the surface of γAl 2 O 3  pellet was different with and without the plasma application during the catalyst preparation.
