Es wird eine neue Mikromethode zui Bestimmung der UDP-Glucuronyltransferase-Aktivität mit [ CJ p-Nitrophenol als Substrat beschrieben. Schon mit Leberhomogenaten, die 1-2 mg Leber enthalten, lassen sich Bestimmungen mit einer Standardabweichung von ± 3,3% durchführen. Die mit dieser Methode gemessene pH-Abhängigkeit der Glucuronyltransferase-Aktivität zeigt ein Minimum bei pH 7,3 und ein Maximum bei pH 7,4. Eine Abhängigkeit der Enzymaktivität von der Homogenisierungsdauer läßt sich reproduzierbar nachweisen.
