Einleitung:  Die aseptische Lockerung stellt eines der Hauptprobleme in der Hüftendoprothetik dar. Ein Teilaspekt ist die inflammatorische Reaktion gegen durch Verschleiß entstandene Abriebpartikel der verwendeten Prothesenmateralien. Bei der Ursachenanalyse von aseptischen Hüftendoprothesenlockerungen kommt der Analyse der in Granulomen nachzuweisenden Partikel bzw. Elementzusammensetzung eine herausragende Bedeutung zu, um die Werkstoffe weiter zu optimieren.
