In particular, the transmission oof documents (civil and ecclesiastical, authentic and apocryphal) is studied, the imact of differences in genre, as well as how historical, anthropolgical, ethnographic, astronimical, and medical notions are reshaped in new cultural traditions.</p><p>Cet ouvrage a pour objet principal le rôle joué par l'historiographie en matière de sélection, mise en ordre et transmission des savoirs durant l'Antiquité tardive. Est étudiée en particulier la question de la transmission des documents (civiques et ecclésiastiques, authentiques et apocryphes). Ce livre aborde aussi l'enjeu des différences de genres littéraires et examine la manière dont les notions historique, anthropologique, ethnographique astronomique et médical sont réélaborées pour façonner de nouvelles traditions culturelles.</p
