The purpose of this study was to investigate the levels of serum total proteins and lipids in sheep infected by Fasciola gigantica. The experiment was carried out on 20 Akkaraman sheep. Four of the sheep were kept for control and remaining 16 sheep 'were equally divided into two groups. Group A was given orally 100 metacercariae while group B was given 50. The groups wcrc also subdivided into two. In group A, one subgroup received 100 metaeercariae in two equal doscs and the other in four equal doses. In group, B, one subgroup receivetl 50 metacercariae in single dose and the other in two equal doses. The length of the experiment was 115 days. On the 49 th day af ter infection, there was a considerable increase in serum total proteins of all infectetl groups. The increases were higher in groups which were infected with repeated doscs of 25 metacercariae. On the 112 th day af ter infection, there wa< a tlecrease in comparison to the 49 th day level. No changes were observed in the levels of serum total lipids in any group during the experimental period.
