In this study, it was aimed to determine the fears and fears of the children who are going to kindergarten and to make suggestions about the innovations in education programs and policies related to this situation. The research has been carried out in qualitative research methods. The study group consisted of 48 children attending kindergarten in Mersin. The data of the study was obtained by a semi-structured interview form consisting of two parts. In the first part of the interview form, there are two questions that aim to determine the gender and age of children's personal information. In the second part, there are two questions which are prepared to determine the fears of children and their reasons for these fears. The first of these questions is "What scares you? The second was formed as "Why?" The questions in the semi-structured interview form were asked to the child and given enough time to answer. Interviews with each child took about 5-8 minutes. Content analysis method was used to analyze the data obtained from children. As a result of the research, it was determined that the fears of children attending the kindergarten were gathered under four themes as "Animals (20)", People (3)", Extraordinary (Realistic) Assets (7)" and Other (10). Fears of animal contact were found to be more intense fear in children's lives. Animal fears stem from animal-specific behavior. People in the main theme, a father figure, two school friend and cheat sub themes are sub-themes related to children's negative experiences. Fears of the main theme of extraordinary (unrealistic) assets; it was found that the media, which directly influenced the child such as cartoons and children's games, were caused by frightening elements. The sub-themes related to the fears in the other main theme are based on real life and it is determined that there are sub-themes that the child may face while maintaining his / her daily life. Ozet Bu arastirmada, anaokuluna devam eden cocuklarin korkularini ve korkularinin nedenlerini belirleyerek, bu duruma iliskin egitim programlari ve politikalarinda yapilabilecek yeniliklere iliskin oneriler gelistirmek amaclanmistir. Arastirma, nitel arastirma yontemlerinden olgu bilim deseninde gerceklestirilmistir. Arastirmanin calisma grubunu Mersin ilinde anaokuluna devam eden 48 cocuk olusturmaktadir. Arastirmanin verileri, iki bolumden olusan, yari yapilandirilmis bir gorusme formu ile elde edilmistir. Gorusme formunun ilk bolumunde cocuklarin kisisel bilgilerinden cinsiyet ve yasini belirlemeyi amaclayan iki soru yer almaktadir. Ikinci bolumde ise cocuklarin korkularini ve bu korkularin nedenlerine iliskin goruslerini belirlemek amaciyla hazirlanmis iki soru yer almaktadir. Bu sorulardan ilki “Seni neler korkutur?”; ikincisi ise “Neden?”  biciminde olusturulmustur. Cocuga yari yapilandirilmis gorusme formunda yer alan sorular sira ile sorulmus, yanitlamasi icin yeterince zaman verilmistir. Her bir cocukla yapilan gorusme yaklasik 5-8 dakika surmustur. Cocuklardan elde edilen verilerin incelenmesinde icerik analizi yontemi kullanilmistir. Arastirma sonucunda, anaokuluna devam eden cocuklarin korkularinin “Hayvanlar (20)”, “Insanlar (3)”, “Olaganustu (gercekci olmayan) Varliklar (7)” ve “Diger (10)” olmak uzere dort tema altinda toplandigi belirlenmistir. Hayvanlar temasina ait korkularin cocuklarin yasamlarinda daha yogun korku unsuru oldugu belirlenmistir. Hayvanlara iliskin korkular, hayvan turune ozgu davranislardan kaynaklanmaktadir. Insanlar ana temasinda bir baba figuru, iki okul arkadasi ve dolandirici alt temalari cocuklarin olumsuz yasantilarindan kaynaklanan korkulara ait alt temalardir. Olaganustu (gercekci olmayan) varliklar ana temasina ait korkularin; cizgi filmler, cocuk oyunlari gibi cocugu dogrudan etkileyen medyanin korkutucu ogeler icermesinden kaynaklandigi bulunmustur. Diger ana temasinda yer alan korkulara iliskin alt temalarin gercek yasantiya dayali oldugu ve cocugun icinde bulundugu cevrede gunluk yasamini surdururken karsilasabilecegi alt temalar oldugu belirlenmistir. Bu yasantilarin hepsi olumsuzdur ve cocuklar tarafindan korku nedeni olarak gosterilmistir.
