Transition from preschool to primary school is accepted as one of the most important educational transitions for students. The aim of this study is to determine the degree of the acquisition of the life skills for the students while they pass from kinder garden to primary school. This determination is made according to the opinions of teachers in kinder garden and primary school. Because of this reason, a semi-structured interview form was composed by the researchers. Phenomenological method is used in this research. The semi-structured interview form was conducted for 9 kinder garden teachers and for 9 primary teachers who were selected purposefully from three schools. Teachers were intentionally chosen because they have direct contact with students at the specified levels. The interviews were sound recorded and content analysis method is used for gathering data from these records. The data and phrases that are taken from voice records were sent back to the teachers for their approval. Primary school teachers stated that primary school children who attended in kinder garden are master in three life skills which are entrepreneurship, creative thinking and proper usage of Turkish. All of kinder garden teachers stated that creative thinking skills and entrepreneurship skills are well supported by Turkish kinder garden curriculum. . Although kinder garden teachers and primary school teachers have different ideas about acquisition of life skills, they have similar thoughts about the reasons behind the lack of these skills that are environment and individual differences. Ozet Anaokulundan ilkokula gecis, kucuk cocuklarin yasadigi en onemli egitim gecislerinden biri olarak kabul edilmektedir Bu arastirmanin amaci okul oncesi egitimden ilkokula gecis surecinde ogrencilerin yasam becerilerine ne kadar sahip olduklarini sinif ve okul oncesi ogretmenlerinin gorusleri dogrultusunda belirlemektir. Arastirmada nitel arastirma yontemlerinden olgu bilim modeli ve amacli ornekleme yontemlerinden olcut ornekleme tercih edilmistir. Bu arastirmada nitel veri toplama yontemlerinden yari-yapilandirilmis gorusme teknigi kullanilmistir.  Calisma grubu, 3 ilkogretim okulunda gorev yapan 9 ilkokul birinci sinif ogretmeni ve 9 okul oncesi ogretmeninden olusmaktadir. Yapilan gorusmelerin ses kayitlari dinlenmis, ogretmen ifadeleri aynen yazilmis ve kontrol etmeleri icin gorusulen ogretmenlere tekrar gonderilip onaylari alinmistir. Bu verilerin analizinde ise her bir soruya ayri ayri icerik analizi yapilmistir. Sinif ogretmenlerinin okul oncesi egitimi alip birinci sinifa devam eden ogrencilerin yasam becerilerine sahip olduklarini buyuk cogunlukla ifade ettikleri 3 yasam becerisi sirasiyla girisimcilik, yaratici dusunme ve Turkceyi dogru, etkili ve guzel kullanma becerileridir. Okul oncesi ogretmenlerinin tamaminin okul oncesi egitimi almakta olan ogrencilerin yasam becerilerini kazandigini ifade ettikleri 2 beceri yaratici dusunme ve girisimcilik becerileridir. Okul oncesi ogretmenleri ve sinif ogretmenlerinin becerilerin kazandirilmasi ile ilgili farkli gorusler ifade etmelerinin yani sira bu becerileri kazanamama gerekceleri incelendiginde cevre ve bireysel farklilik gibi gerekcelerin ortustugu gorulmektedir. Programlarin guncellenme calismalarinda bu temalara ozellikle dikkat edilmesi onerilebilir.
