This work deals with the relationship between social values and sociological function of sport which is a social issue with all its aspects. Sport, both affects and being affected by social structure and processes. In this respect, this work aims to discuss current situation about the relationship between sport and socialvalues. This discussion is starts with the sport’s role on the production of moral values and then focuses a breakthrough which occured at sport’s affects on social values. Accordingly, industrialization of sport, brings with it the aim of win as an highest value. This position of the aim of win, exulcerated sport’s moral values, especially fair play. Therefore, according to this work’s claim, socail values being affected in a bad manner by sport activities. Extended English summary is in the end of Full Text  PDF (TURKISH)  file . Ozet Bu calismada, her yonuyle toplumsal bir mesele olan sporun sosyolojik islevinin toplumsal degerlerle iliskisi konu edilmektedir. Bu baglamda, toplumsal yapi ve sureclerden etkilendigi kadar toplumun uzerinde de etkili olan sporun toplumsal degerler ile olan iliskisinde gunumuzde hangi noktada oldugunu tartismak amaclanmaktadir. Sporun ahlâki degerlerin uretiminde nasil bir rol oynadigi ve oynayabilecegi ile baslatilan soz konusu tartisma, sporun toplumsal degerler uzerindeki etkisinde yasanan bir kirilmaya odaklanmaktadir. Buna gore sporun endustriyellesmesi, kazanma hedefinin en ust deger olmasini beraberinde getirmistir. Kazanmanin bu konuma gelmesi, fair play basta olmak uzere spordaki ahlâki degerlerin hemen hepsini asindirmis ve bu durum da toplumdaki degerleri olumsuz yonde etkilemektedir.
