In the study conducted, it was aimed to examine the communication levels of university students doing sports and having sedentary life style. The study universe of the study consisted of  304 students in total of which 124 female students and 180 male students of Adnan Menderes University in 2015- 2016 education year.  Students having the habit of doing sports regularly were selected from  School of Physical Education and Sports and students having sedentary life style were selected  from Faculty of Communication and Faculty of Science- Literature. ''Scale for Evaluation of the Communication Skills'' was used in the determination of communication skills of the participants. Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis H Test  in SPSS 22.0 package program were utilized for statistical analysis of the data collected. At the end of the study, it was found that communication skills levels of students having the habit of doing sports regularly and students having sedentary life style did not show statistically significant difference according to gender, age range, status of doing sports regularly, place of living and type of high school graduated from (p>0.05). As a result, it can be said that socio-demographical features has no significant affect on communication skills.of students having the habit of doing sports regularly and students having sedentary life style. Extended English abstract is in the end of  PDF (TURKISH)  file . Ozet Yapilan bu arastirmada spor yapan ve yapmayan universite ogrencilerinin iletisim duzeylerinin incelenmesi amaclanmistir. Arastirmaya 2015-2016 egitim ve ogretim yilinda Adnan Menderes Universitesi ogrencisi olan 124 kadin ve 180 erkek olmak uzere toplam 304 universite ogrencisi dâhil edilmistir. Duzenli olarak spor yapma aliskanligi bulunan ogrenciler Beden Egitimi ve Spor Yuksekokulu’nda ogrenim goren ogrencilerden, spor yapma aliskanligi bulunmayan ogrenciler ise Iletisim Fakultesi ile Fen Edebiyat Fakultesi ogrencilerinden secilmistir. Arastirmaya katilan ogrencilerin iletisim becerilerinin tespit edilmesinde “Iletisim Becerilerini Degerlendirme Olcegi” kullanilmistir. Arastirmada elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel analizlerinde SPSS 22.0 veri analiz programinda Mann Whitney U analizi ile Kruskal Wallis H analizinden yararlanilmistir. Arastirmanin sonunda spor yapma aliskanligi bulunan ve bulunmayan universite ogrencilerinin sahip olduklari iletisim becerilerinin cinsiyet, yas grubu, duzenli spor yapma durumu, yasamlarinin buyuk cogunlugunun gectigi yerlesim yeri ve mezun olduklari lise turune gore istatistiksel acidan anlamli farklilik gostermedigi tespit edilmistir (p>0.05). Sonuc olarak, duzenli olarak spor yapma aliskanligi bulunan ve bulunmayan ogrencilerde sosyo-demografik ozelliklerin iletisim becerisini etkilemedigi soylenebilir.
