This study aimed to determine how some variables including social support, marital harmony, gender, age, age at marriage, duration of marriage, partner’s job status, number of children, marriage type, income level, and responsibility sharing for housework and child care can predict nurses’ job satisfaction. The study was carried out with nurses, who worked at Ondokuz Mayis University Faculty of Medicine and had been married for at least one year depending on their willingness for participation. In conclusion, a total of 406 married nurses- 280 (69%) females and 126 (31%) males- were included in the study sample. For data collection, we used the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale to determine participants’ job satisfaction; the Marital Adjustment Test to determine the level of adjustment in marriage; the Family and Friends Support Scale to determine the perceived level of support from family and friends and, last but not the least, the Personal Information Form developed by the authors to obtain information on other predictive variables. As the study data did not show normal distribution, we used the non-parametric Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal - Wallis H test for analyses. The predictive variables of marital adjustment were evaluated using the Linear Regression Analysis. While the Spearman correlation analysis was used to determine the correlation between scales, the Cronbach’s Alpha was used to estimate the reliability of the tests. Ultimately, gender, age, duration of marriage, income level, housework, responsibility for child care and marriage type were found to have a significant predictive role on marital adjustment of nurses. Moreover, the regression model aiming to express nurses’ marital adjustment through job satisfaction and perceived support from family and friends yielded significant results. Ozet Bu calismada sosyal destek, evlilik uyumu ile cinsiyet, yas, evlenme yasi, evlilik suresi, esin calisma durumu, cocuk sayisi, evlenme sekli, gelir durumu, ev islerini yapma, cocuklarin bakim sorumluluklari gibi degiskenlerin hemsirelerin is doyumlarini ne olcude yordadiginin belirlenmesi amaclanmistir. Calismaya Ondokuz Mayis Universitesi Tip Fakultesi Hastanesi’nde calisan ve en az bir yildir evli olan arastirmaya katilmaya gonullu olan hemsireler dâhil olmustur. Calisma kapsamina 280’i (%69) kadin, 126’si (%31) erkek olmak uzere toplam 406 evli hemsire calisma grubu olarak alinmistir. Veri toplama araclari olarak, bireylerin is doyumlarini belirleyebilmek icin Minnesota Is Doyum Olcegi, evlilik uyum duzeylerini belirleyebilmek icin Evlilikte Uyum Olcegi, algilanan aile ve arkadas destek duzeyini belirleyebilmek icin Aile ve Arkadas Destek Olcegi ile yordayici diger degiskenlere iliskin bilgi elde etmek icin de arastirmacilar tarafindan gelistirilmis olan Kisisel Bilgi Formu kullanilmistir. Veriler normal dagilim gostermediginden analizlerde parametrik olmayan yontemlerden Mann Whitney U ve Kruskal - Wallis H testi kullanilmistir. Evlilik uyumunu yordayan degiskenler lineer regresyon analizi ile degerlendirilmistir.  Olcekler arasindaki korelasyon Spearman korelasyon analizi ile olcegin guvenilirligi Cronbach Alfa ile incelenmistir. Sonuc olarak hemsirelerin evlilik uyumunu, cinsiyet, yas, evlilik suresi, esin calisma durumu, gelir durumu, ev islerini yapma sekli, cocugun bakim sorumlulugunu alma ve evlenme seklini manidar olarak yordadigi bulunmustur. Yine aciklanan sonuclara hemsirelerin evlilik uyumunu, is doyumu, algilanan aile ve arkadas destek ile aciklanmaya calisilan regresyon modeli anlamli sonuclandigi saptanmistir.
