It is possible to encounter rituals that occurred pending on various celebrations in almost every culture or particular periods of social-cultural life. Ritual sare indispensable components of celebrations and festivals, since they allow the transfer of group or society values as behavioral patterns through generations by symbolizing them. Nevruz rituals are one of them. Nevruz is celebrated by many cultures particularly Turkish societies and symbolized by reinforcing it with different rituals, and also it is considered as sacred; thus, Nevruz gains the characteristics of a religious and national festival. Similar to all cultural activities, there are dances, plays, symbols and literary products specific to that culture in Nevruz festival. By this way, various elements of culture can be transferred to the future generations. In the study, it has been aimed to propound how Nevruz is perceived by the societies, in which this festival is celebrated and sacred and which rituals are displayed during the celebrations. Ozet Hemen hemen tum kulturlerde ya da sosyal-kulturel yasamin belirli donemlerinde cesitli kutlamalara bagli olarak ortaya cikan rituellere rastlamak mumkundur. Grup ya da topluluk degerlerinin sembollestirilerek davranis oruntuleri halinde kusaklar boyunca aktarilmasini saglayan ritueller, kutlamalarin vazgecilmez bilesenleridir. Nevruz rituelleri de bunlardan birisidir. Nevruzun, basta Turk toplumlari olmak uzere bircok kultur tarafindan kutlanmasi ve cesitli rituellerle pekistirilerek sembolize edilmesi, kutsallik atfedilmesi, ayni zamanda ona dini ve milli bir bayram kimligi kazandirir. Tum kulturel etkinliklerde oldugu gibi Nevruz kutlamalarinda, toplumlarin kendilerine ozgu danslari, oyunlari, sembolleri, edebi urunleri bulunabilmekte ve bu yonuyle kulturun pek cok unsuru ileri kusaklara tasinabilmektedir. Calismada, nevruzun kutlandigi ve kutsandigi toplumlarda, nasil algilandigi ve kutlamalarda hangi rituellerin sergilendigi ortaya konulmaya calisilmistir.
