The study was conducted to determine how the three best-selling daily newspapers in Turkey (Posta, Hurriyet, Sabah) gave news about CAM both from a quantitative-qualitative aspect and to evaluate them in terms of ethics, public health. (January 1-June 30, 2013). Quantitative-qualitative analysis was performed, 585 articles on CAM were published. As a source of the news, medical doctors took the first place(33.7%). It was seen that 69.6% of them recommended readers to make use of CAM practices and that articles tempting people into CAM took the second place(27.1%). Of the articles, 58.5% were on herbal treatment. Articles on diseases were mostly on nutrition–diet(15.9%). Newspapers were support to CAM-related news(56.3%). The media deal with all kinds of information on the agenda because they consider them as newsworthy, and thus the public is misinformed and misled on such an important issue as health, medical ethics. CAM should be subjected to scientific studies.  Ozet Calisma, 1 Ocak – 30 Haziran 2013 tarihleri arasinda Turkiye'de gunluk en cok satan Posta, Hurriyet ve Sabah gazetelerindeki Tamamlayici Alternatif Tip(TAT) haberlerinin nasil verildiginin nicelik ve nitelik olarak degerlendirilmesi amaciyla yapilmistir. Niteliksel ve niceliksel analizler yapilmistir. Bulgulara gore konunun halk sagligina etkileri ve yarattigi etik sorunlar cercevesinde tartisilmasi yapilmistir. Her uc gazetede TAT ile ilgili toplam 585 yazi yayinlanmistir. Tip doktorlari ilk sirada yer alan haber kaynagidir (%33,7). Reklamlar disinda gazetelerdeki yazilarin %69,6’si okurlara TAT’i onerir niteliktedir. Ikinci sirada ise TAT uygulamasini ozendirici yazilar (%27,1) yer almaktadir. TAT'la ilgili yazilarin %58,5’i bitkisel tedavi ile ilgilidir. Beslenme–diyet sorunlari (%15,9) ile ilgili yazilar ilk sirayi almaktadir. Gazeteler, %56,3 oraninda TAT ile ilgili haberleri destekler nitelikte sunmuslardir. Her turlu enformasyonu haber niteligi tasidigi gerekcesiyle ele alan Medya, dezenformasyona ve saglikta yanlis yonlendirmelere dolayisiyla halk sagligi ve tip etigi sorunlarina yol acmaktadir. TAT yontemlerinin bilimsel calismalara tabi tutulmasi gereklidir.
