Lo sviluppo della “societa in rete” ha prodotto dei mutamenti significativi nell’ambito delle migrazioni, con riferimento tanto all’esperienza d’immigrazione che a quella d’emigrazione. Il presente articolo si propone di esaminare il rapporto fra migrazioni e tecnologie dell’informazione e della comunicazione (TIC) al fine di evidenziarne gli apporti e gli aspetti piu problematici. Dopo aver presentato brevemente i principali approcci teorici in materia, si analizzera l’impatto delle tecnologie dell’informazione nell’ambito del processo d’integrazione dell’immigrato nella societa d’accoglienza. In seguito, l’attenzione si focalizzera sull’utilizzo degli strumenti informatici al fine di ridurre la distanza sociale del migrante con il paese d’origine. Questi differenti aspetti condurranno infine verso una riflessione piu critica riguardo al rapporto fra migrazioni e tecnologie dell’informazione.  L’essor de la « societe en reseau » a entraine des mutations majeures dans le processus migratoire, tant en matiere d’emigration que d’immigration. Cet article propose de reflechir aux interactions entre le champ migratoire et les technologies de l’information et de la communication (TIC), afin d’en cerner les apports et aspects critiques. Apres avoir presente brievement les principales approches theoriques, il s’agira d’analyser l’impact des TIC sur le processus d’integration des immigres dans la societe d’accueil. Ensuite, il sera question de se focaliser sur l’utilisation des outils numeriques afin de reduire la distance sociale du migrant avec le pays d’origine. Ces differents elements nous conduiront a une reflexion plus critique sur le rapport entre migrations et technologies de l’information.  The rise of « network society » has led to major changes in migration process, concerning to the experience of both emigration and immigration. This article proposes to explore the interaction between migrations and information communication technologies (ICT), in order to assess both their strengths and limits. After briefly introducing the main theoretical approaches, it will examine the impact of ICT on the process of immigrant integration into the host society. Then, the attention will focus on the use of ICT tools in order to reduce the migrant’s social distance from his native country. These different elements lead us to a more critical analysis about migrations and information technologies.
