Maps that geovisualize rental offers and rental prices significantly influence the interaction of property seekers with rental markets. Geovisualized 'rental price landscapes' shape the spatial market perception of searchers. Rental price maps are primarily published on real estate portals, the firmly established, dominant medium for property seekers. Studies focusing on rental offers and price maps show that the resulting map representations are very heterogeneous in terms of spatial reference, map scale, and information density. Rental price and offer visualizations disregard the principles of thematic cartography. In the context of the article, two developed prototypes are presented, which try to compensate the known deficits. The first prototypical solution is a dynamic scale-dependent adjustment of the mesh-widths of raster grids visualizing rental prices, which take topography into account. The second prototype is an application of the 'geographic brushing' method for the presentation of rental offers.
