This article gathers the results of a research carried through the Empresa deTecnologia e Informacoes da Previdencia Social – Dataprev. Based on the principles of ITGovernance of the Cobit model, it had been identified the relevant IT processes for thecompany in question.Through the analysis of the data collected in the field research carried with the managers andsupervisors of the Diretoria de Operacoes e Telecomunicacoes, it had been concluded that50% of the processes recommended for the model have relevance for reality of the company.Keywords: Information Technology, IT Governace, Cobit.
