This text seeks to reflect on the professional career of the Argentinean theater director Héctor Grillo and his artistic work, mainly with Gralha Azul [Blue Crow] Theater Group. The study focuses on the performances No Planalto Sul [In the South Plateau], Tropical do Sol [Tropical of the Sun] and E a Gralha Falou [And the Crow Spoke] staged between 1978 and 1980, when he worked in Lages, Santa Catarina. The relation between Grillo’s theater and the contribution of other Argentinian theater directors in Brazil is evidenced.
