This text exposes reflections on the National Common Curricular Base (NCCB) approved and their meanings in/for emancipatory education and educational inequalities, based on results of qualitative research, using analysis documentary. To this end, analyzes the document 'National Curriculum-education Common Basis is the Foundation’, using as a reference, especially the elaborations of Freire (1987; 1996; 2009) about emancipatory education and Sacristán (1998) about curriculum design. What is the character of the BNCC and significance to early childhood education, linked to the recognition of childhood and the cultural production of different social groups? The BNCC has incorporated some concepts and perspective of curricular Organization contained in the research area and pedagogical proposals in progress in the country? The results indicate that the BNCC, normative character, not instrument strengthens the prospect of emancipatory education and promotes inequality of opportunity education expanded and contextualized.
