Az innováció nemzetközi irodalma mindig is nagy jelentőséget tulajdonított az innováció vállalaton kívüli forrásainak, a beszerzési irodalomban pedig újabban egyre több szerző foglalkozik azzal, hogy a beszerzési funkció miként vállaljon nagyobb szerepet az innovációban. Ebből kiindulva a szerzők tanulmánya a beszerzés szerepét elemzi az innovációban, s a nemzetközi szakirodalom eredményei alapján igyekszik feltárni és rendszerezni az ezt befolyásoló tényezőket. A szerzők célja az volt, hogy öt hazai interjú segítségével az irodalmi eredményeket egy kérdőíves kutatásban tesztelhető keretté fejlesszék tovább.  The innovation literature has always attached much importance to the outward sources of innovation and the purchasing literature has started to stress recently that the purchasing organisations have to contribute more to the innovation. Our study analyses the role of the purchasing function based on literature results. It summarises the results in a model, which is further developed with the help of 5 interviews.
