Представлены предварительные результаты, полученные в ходе полевых исследований раннепалео литического культурно-хронологического комплекса памятника Дарвагчай-залив-4. В 2014– 2015 гг. на памятнике были проведены стационарные археологические исследования, общая площадь раскопов составила 47 м2. Была получена немногочисленная, но очень наглядная коллекция каменных артефактов, приуроченных к галечногравийным отложениям (слои 3 и 5). На основании биостратиграфических данных возраст культуросодержащих отложений определяется заключительным этапом бакинской трансгрессии Каспия. Центральное место в статье занимают описание и анализ стратиграфического разреза и коллекций каменных изделий раннепалеолитического комплекса стоянки Дарвагчай-залив-4. На основе стратиграфических и планиграфических данных, а также степени сохранности поверхности арте фактов делается заключение, что обнаруженные каменные изделия были перемещены на минимальное расстояние в постседиментационный период. По формальным признакам комплексы инвентаря в слоях 3 и 5 не отличаются друг от друга. На основе таких данных, как типы и формы орудий, приемы расщепления и вторичной обработки, стратиграфическое положение, индустрию этих комплексов следует рассматривать в совокупности. Раннепалеолитический комплекс памятника Дарвагчай-залив-4 характеризуется в первую очередь слабой типологической выраженностью и неустойчивостью нуклевидных и орудийных форм. Морфологически выраженных нуклеThe article presents preliminary results obtained during the f ield research of the early Paleolithic cultural-historical site complex Darvagchai-Bay-4. In 2014/15 on the site were held stationary archaeological research, the total area of the excavations was 47 m2. We have obtained a small but very illustrative collection of artifacts, dedicated to the pebblegravel deposits (layers 3 and 5). On the basis of biostratigraphic data, the age of the basal sediments is determined by the final stage of the Baku transgression of the Caspian Sea. Central to this article is the description and analysis of the stratigraphic section and the collections of stone artifacts of the early Paleolithic complex site DarvagchaiBay-4. On the basis of stratigraphy and planigraphy, and degree of preservation of surface ar tifacts it is concluded that the discovered stone tools were moved at the min imum d is t ance in the postsedimentary period. Early Paleolithic complex of the site Darvagchai-Bay-4 is characterized, in the f irst place, with weak typological severity and instability of the core and gun forms. There is a very limited number of morphologically pronounced core units. The crushing method was widely used to produce blanks. The number of functional types among gun forms is small. These are mainly scrapers, thorn, notched and combined products. A special place in the industry belongs to expressive bifacial tools such as handaxes characteristic of the Acheulian epoch in the Caucasus.
