This article persues the consecuences of the phenomenon of urban parkization , as a measure for the recovery of old industrial spaces of Gijon. It will proceed to analyze the 11 urban parks that have been proyected in the city over two clearly distinguishable generations (decades of 1980 and 1990). That is, it is a case of study, an identification of those, and the comparison of before and after these spaces. Urban parkization has been a tool to industrial reconversion of Gijon, and therefore a contribution towards the leisural transformation of old industries.
