espanolSe estudia el funcionamiento sintactico del operador aditivo mas en espanol, tanto en su variante simetrica (dos mas dos) como en la asimetrica (dos dias mas; mas de dos dias) y se propone un analisis unitario que derive este ultimo valor de la proyeccion de ciertas categorias funcionales que permiten establecer una relacion asimetrica entre los dos argumentos seleccionados por dicho operador. Se propone tratar las construcciones de mas asimetrico como vectoriales y se argumenta a favor de incluir en este mismo grupo las comparativas de desigualdad. Si la propuesta es correcta, la idea de comparacion que se asocia a tales construcciones seria una nocion cognitiva derivada de un patron formal mas simple, de naturaleza vectorial (aditiva en el caso de mas y sustractiva en el de menos). EnglishA unified analysis for the different uses of the additive operator mas in Spanish is proposed, including the symmetric variant (dos mas dos, two plus two) and the asymmetric one (dos dias mas, two more days; mas de dos dias, more than two days). The asymmetric variant is derived as a result of the projection of some functional categories establishing an asymmetric relation between the two arguments selected by the additive operator. Asymmetric mas is analyzed as a vectorial construction and it is also argued that comparative constructions of inequality can be properly included in the same group. If the proposal is on the right track, the idea of comparison associated to these constructions would be a cognitive notion derived from a simpler formal pattern of vectorial nature (additive for mas more and subtractive for menos less).
