A key ingredient in emerging quantum-enhanced technologies is the ability tocoherently manipulate and detect superpositions of basis states. In integratedoptics implementations, transverse spatial modes supported by multimodestructures offer an attractive carrier of quantum superpositions. Here wepropose an integrated dynamic mode converter based on the electro-optic effectin nonlinear channel waveguides for deterministic transformations betweenmutually non-orthogonal bases of spatial modes. We theoretically show itscapability to demonstrate a violation of a Bell-type Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holtinequality by measuring spatially mode-entangled photon pairs generated by anintegrated photon pair source. The proposed configuration, numerically studiedfor the potassium titanyl phosphate (KTP) material, can be easily implementedusing standard integrated optical fabrication technology.
