Journal of Modern Science tom 2/45/2020 Abstract This paper deals with the possibility of the municipality’s inhabitants to actively participate in the self-government of the municipality through participation in the meetings of the Municipal Council. This right arises to the inhabitants from the current legislation. Municipal Councils have the possibility within their Rules of Procedure to regulate the active participation of its residents and other persons who have the right to participate in the administration of public matters in the municipal self-government.
