The knowledge and perception of indigenous communities are relevant for management, conservation and sustainability of biological diversity. A total of 100 individuals belonging to Manobo tribe were included in the study to determine the knowledge and perception of indigenous communities particularly Manobo tribe towards biodiversity and conservation. The study used a descriptive survey research design. A survey questionnaire was used to gather the needed data and information and the data were tallied, tabulated and analyzed using descriptive analysis. Primary findings revealed that indigenous knowledge towards concepts of biodiversity can contribute in protecting and conserving the biodiversity. Respondents believed that it is important to maintain biodiversity and to protect the forest ecosystem. Forest ecosystem is one of their sources for daily consumption. Also, through community-based conservation management wildlife/biodiversity conservation will be maintain, protect and conserve and local people will benefit from it. Indigenous forms of communication and organization are important in the preservation, development and spread of IK (Indigenous Knowledge) especially in terms of biodiversity conservation, collaborations among local government sectors and community leaders have to be strengthened.
