A comprehensive and efficient Tamarind (Tamarindous indica) juice catalysed one pot synthesis of benzopyranopyrimidines in aqueous medium through condensation of 4-Hydroxycoumarin (10mmol), various substituted benzaldehydes (10mmol)) and urea/thiourea (20mmol) just by grinding at ambient condition is reported in excellent yield of the product.
