Based on the analytical model introduced in the provious report, numerical simulations of the engaging process of a friction plate are executed in this paper. Some fundamental quantities necessary for the calculation are firstly estimated to fit the calculated results with the experimental values. Then, some parameter survey studies are developed, for an example, the effects of permeability value of the facing material to the engaging characteristics are studied, so that the engaging mechanisms are theoretically discussed.
