AMD device, as AV apparatus mounted on automobile, causes reading error to miss the data on MD by optical pickup due to external body vibration. This paper describes that the cause of reading error depends on the gap vibration at high frequency range in spite of sinusoidal input at low frequency using actual MD device. Next a new method is proposed to identify the location of objective gap among possible gaps by good use of real time animation in time domain based on responses with and without gap vibration. Also a simple plate model is used to verify the effectiveness of proposed method.
