On-Machine Measurement of the straightness profile by Displacement Method University of Yamanashi Yuuichi Kitahara , Tsuyoshi Shimizu, Improvement of measurement accuracy due to on-machine measurement is achieved in this paper.The on-machine measurement includes the motion error.a profile of work piece is measured by on-machine measurement, and motion error of the machine tool is removed by Displacement method.To achieve on-machine measurement, a table of experimental apparatus uses a moving stage .In addition, sensors are mounted on the side of the table for measuring the reference piece profile built in the table.a correction for the mounting error of the reference piece in uniaxial is discussed, and experimental results are described.
