. Rubber seals have been widely used in aerospace, automotive and other engineering fields, and tightness is the most basic and critical performance parameter of rubber seals(1). Therefore, the leak detection technology of rubber seals is very important(2). At present, scholars have used acoustic emission technology(3) and aeroacoustic technology(4) for the detection of leakages. In this paper, a new leakage rate measurement method for rubber seals is put forward based on the aeroacoustic technology and Lighthill equation.
