An important facet of the contouring performance of machine tools with computer numerical control (CNC) is the machining of workpieces within the desired accuracy and within as short a time as possible. For this reason, many CNCs and machine tools use the catchphrase "high-speed and high-accuracy." In general, there is a trade-off relationship between speed and accuracy (error); that is, the speed must be lowered in order to reduce the error and improve the accuracy, and the higher the speed, the larger the error and the lower the accuracy. Also, a higher priority is usually given to accuracy than speed. There are many papers that have discussed the error (accuracy) in CNC machine tool movement. Rahaman et al. proposed a method of combining multiple real-time algorithms such as cross-coupled control and frequency-modulated interpolation to reduce contour errors [Rahaman et al., 2015]. Phillip et al. discussed the relationship between acceleration and following errors and proposed a method to obtain those errors from the acceleration [Phillip et al., 2006]. Kono et al. discussed machine tool error caused by dynamic mechanical error of the parts [Kono et al., 2012]. There are also many papers on the movement accuracy of the rotary axes. Ibaraki et al. described a method for finding the geometric error of the rotary axis [Ibaraki et al., 2010]. On the other hand, there have also been studies on methods of speed control. Dong et al. described a method for reaching a desirable speed while satisfying the conditions related to speed control (maximum speed, maximum acceleration and maximum jerk) [Dong et al., 2007].
