Liquid loading problem is one of main reasons of shut-down in mature offshore gas production system. In this research, liquid loading location was estimated using three methods (nodal analysis, critical gas rate and transient multiphase flow analysis) and liquid loading effect on shut-down condition was investigated. As a result of critical gas rate analysis, estimated result using Coleman model was the closest to measured data among 4 model in this paper. Using this result, the location where liquid loading occurred was identified. As a result of transient multiphase flow analysis, location and thickness of liquid column induced by liquid loading was estimated. The findings in this paper might be able to diagnose and remediate liquid loading in target offshore gas production system.
