By using the supply-driven Input-Output model, this study aims to examine the economic impacts of the oil information provided via the Petronet, which is a internet based multimedia intelligence network constructing the database of information related to petroleum and servicing them to users. The oil information, as a kind of Public Sector Information serving mainly and originally public administration and defense sector, didn’t turn only out to be provided for some service sectors such as wholesale & retail trade, transportation, research & development, education, finance & insurance and newspapers directly, but to be also conducive to the production activities in construction sector as well as a few manufacturing sectors including electronic & electrical equipment and transportation equipment indirectly. The total economic benefit of the oil information providing service was also estimated to be about 209.8 million won, which was 1.73 times more than the value of information provided via the Petronet.
