Resumo: O artigo busca entender o papel dos videoclipes postados no YouTube na construcao de imaginarioscontemporâneos do rock nacional dos anos de 1980. Para tanto, faz uma analise dos videoclipes do chamado“Quarteto Fantastico” (Titas, Paralamas do Sucesso, Barao Vermelho e Legiao Urbana), bem como doscomentarios postados por internautas em relacao a esses videos. Como argumento, o texto considera que, aoserem postados no YouTube, esses videoclipes instituem um conflituoso e sintomatico espaco de discussao quereinterpreta o rock nacional dos anos 80 e, adicionalmente, confere novos significados a diferentes fenomenosdo presente.Palavras-chave: Videoclipe, YouTube, Rock Nacional. Abstract: The paper aims to understand the role of music videos posted on YouTube in the constructionof contemporary imaginary of Brazilian Rock of the 80s. Therefore, it analyses the music videos of the “FabFour” (formed by Titas, Paralamas do Sucesso, Barao Vermelho and Legiao Urbana rock bands), as well asthe comments posted by youtubers in relation to these videos. The main argument considers that, when postedon YouTube, these music videos construct a rowdy and symptomatic debate environment which reinterpretsthe Brazilian rock of the 80s and, additionally, gives new meanings to different contemporary phenomena.Keywords: Music Video, YouTube, Brazilian Rock
