DOI: 10.12957/dep.2017.23011 Resumo Analisa as narrativas construidas pelo Poder Judiciario, sobre a atuacao dessa instituicao durante o regime autoritario de 1964-1985. Utiliza fontes primarias, coletadas nos memoriais da justica comum. Constata que a narrativa oficial nao tece consideracoes sobre a legalidade autoritaria, nem sobre a ruptura democratica. Sugere que a memoria institucional comunica mais sobre o judiciario na atual democracia brasileira, do que sobre o passado. Palavras-chave: Poder Judiciario; memoria; autoritarismo. Abstract The paper analyzes the narratives constructed by the judiciary on the performance of this institution during the authoritarian regime of 1964-1985. Uses primary sources, produced by memorials of common justice. Notes that the official narrative reflects on not the authoritarian legality, not on democratic rupture. It suggests that institutional memory communicates more about the judiciary in the current Brazilian democracy than about the past. Keywords: Judiciary; memory; authoritarian regime.
