DOI 10.12957/dep.2013.5808 Resumo: Constatada a centralidade da esfera publica para a democracia contemporânea, o presente trabalho busca mostrar como o poder transformador de um dado movimento social esta condicionado a sua capacidade de, enquanto esfera discursiva particular, posicionar-se em igualdade no contexto dos antagonismos sociais e lutar pela contingente hegemonizacao de sua pauta atraves dos procedimentos institucionais. Abstract : Based on the centrality of the public sphere for contemporary democracy, this paper aims to show that the transformative power of a given social movement is conditional upon their capacity as particular discursive sphere to positioning itself in the context of social antagonisms and struggle for the contingent hegemony of its demand through institutional procedures.
