ポリビニルアルコール (PVA) フィラメントの風乾物およびPVA皮膜の絶乾物を試料として, 2次転移温度に及ぼす加熱速度の影響を検討した。風乾フィラメントについては加熱速度を0.066℃/minから1.0℃/minまで変化したが2次転移温度は66℃ である。また絶乾皮膜については加熱速度を0.2℃/minおよび20℃/minにして実験したが, 2次転移温度は73℃ であって, いずれの際にも加熱速度の影響は認められない。また平均重合度140, 441, 1071, 3820, 46355個の完全ケン化分別PVAからつくった皮膜の絶乾物について, 2次転移温度を測定したが, いずれの重合度の試料についても72±1℃ であって, 平均重合度の影響もまた認められない。
