Of 540 milk samples collected from cows medicated with no antibiotics, 55 (10.2%)were positive for the paper disk test(a test of residual antibiotics in milk).Particularly,the positive rate(19.7 %)was high for milk samples showing a cell count of more than 300 thousand/ml. The inhibitory clear zone of the positive milk disappeared when 1mg of trypsin to 1ml of milk. Loctoferrin one of the Cell inhibitors in milk,increased significantly in concentration in milk samples showing a bacterial count of more than 510 thousand.The lactoferrin concentration was more than 0.49•}0.14mg/ml in the positive milk samples.The sensivity of human lactoferrin in the paper disk test was 0.5mg/ml. From these results,lactoferrin in milk was considered to be one of the factors to make a clear inhibitory zone in the milk, such as one produced by an antibiotic in the paper disk test.
